3rd Annual Outreach, Honoring and Celebrating the Life of 'The Shouting MC Minister' Robert Taylor Wilson

Rosa Pryor

Hello everyone! Hope everything is going well with you and your family. By the time you read this column, I will be in the hospital having another spinal surgery. I know, but if I don’t, I’ll be wheelchair bound. So here I go again. Keep me in your prayers. I am going to Mercy Hospital for lower spinal surgery on Monday, June 1st, but will be out in a couple of days. With a lot of prayers and being very careful I will also see you at my first concert of the year at the Avenue Bakery, Saturday, June 6th, 4-7 p.m., featuring Big Daddy Stallings Blues Band. Bring your folding chairs and enjoy. It is BYOB, but food, desserts, and his famous homemade rolls are available. Girlfriend! You have got to get at least a dozen rolls! I appreciate your notes, cards, and monetary gifts so much. Thank you!

Now let’s talk about this “Youth Outreach Gospel event honoring and celebrating the life of The Shouting MC, Minister Robert Taylor Wilson. Honey Child!!, I am very familiar with Minister Wilson. I used to go see him all the time at all of Lonnie Parker’s Gospel events. Robert used to be his MC. He was a friend and a great Master of Ceremonies. And with my girl Dorsey Harvey hosting the concert, Honey Child, you are in for a treat. Not only is Dorsey Harvey hosting, but the Singing Sensations, the Mighty Christianairs, Pastor Monica and the Ross & Family and will be performing. So, Honey Child! Get your shouting shoes on!

They call it the “FEST OF SPRING” Wine, Food, & Music Festival. It has been a couple of years, but they are back. It is Saturday, June 13, from 1-9 p.m. at Carroll Park, 1500 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. They will serve wines, music and live performances throughout the day. The organization proudly advocates for autism awareness. A very worthy cause. See you there.
